What GDPR brings?

The GDPR brings protection for personal data of individuals who are EU citizens and enforces organisations in the EU (and in other countries if they are under the adequacy rules) to comply with the GDPR.

In effect it puts the individual (data subject) in control of who has their data and how it is used. This is often looked at as the personal data being loaned to organisations to use for a specific purpose rather than for whatever the organisation whats to do with it.

The GDPR will also allow regulators to enforce files on those organisations that don’t comply but also give individuals the ability to take action against an organisation without an limited liability of the monies imposed on the organisation.
